It isn't leather but ... Saturday, July 31, 2010It also isn't $30, which is the cheapest nook cover at B&N. It fits well, and it's rigid enough to protect the screen. What else do you need?
Excellent for the price! Saturday, May 22, 2010I was pleased to find that the cover fits well and is made of tough poly like the stuff used for wetsuits. It isn't really pretty but it does protect and mine DOES have suede "where you actually see it". The extra cable is a huge bonus too as I can now take one with. Overall, a great purchase. Now, the trick seems to be to find a light that actually lives up to the promises.
Acceptable Tuesday, May 18, 2010Overall this is an acceptable purchase. The cover will protect your nook. However, if you are going for something that looks nice, look elsewhere. The inside that is supposed to be suede is only suede on the part that rests behind the nook. The flap facing the nook (the part you actually see) is fabric. Nice soft fabric, but still fabric. The outer part of the cover is what appears to be leggings/tights material and the edge that 'looks' like leather is actually faux, and not even a sturdy long lasting fake at that but a thin layer that makes me wonder how long it will last. Oh, and it smells kinda funky coming out of the box. Granted this cover is only about twenty bucks and with a USB cable to boot. Basically, you get what you pay for.
I am keeping the cable and putting this cover in the "use on rainy days only" drawer and getting a nicer leather cover for the rest of the time. Hope you have better luck.
Great Value for the Nook Friday, April 09, 2010This was an excellent value. I love the Nook cover and the fit is very nice. I'm able to carry and use the Nook more with it, and now feel better about just tossing the Nook in my knapsack wherever I'm going without it getting scratched up. The extra cable was also a bonus, you always need those!
Nook Cover Thursday, March 11, 2010The Nook cover & sync cable make it easier to carry your Nook...nice to protect the screen too.
