I have to say I'm a bit disappointed in this unit. It fullfilled on the features. I like the voice navigation. The maps are pretty good but the few times that we've used it we've had a couple of questionable directions given. The thing that really disappointed me was that after a year and a half the touchscreen went dead. I'll admit that the unit took a couple of tumbles off of the dash after the suction cup gave way, but the unit had no external damage. The screen wasn't cracked or even scratched. I was able to buy a replacement touchscreen on Ebay for $40 and was able to successfully fix it myself, but I wouldn't recommend this for the average Joe (tricky disassembly, lots of tiny connectors, etc). In my research for a fix, I came across some information that certain serial models of the Nuvi 660 have had touchscreen issues. Mine happened to be one of the ones listed. I'm also a bit surprised with the battery charging. I would think that while using on external power it would fully charge the battery but this doesn't seem to be the case. The few times that I've wanted to use it in another car without external power, the unit will stay on for about 5 minutes before it shuts down. Not a huge deal for me most of the time, but the few times I've needed it, I REALLY needed it and it didn't perform. Overall, I think I made a good choice on the features, but Garmin let me down on the quality. Now that I'm operational again, I'm going to look for an alternative for the suction cup mount.

The Garmin Nuvi 660 is an excellent GPS navigation system. It talks and gets me where I need to go. The case is solid and well-built unlike systems made in present day that feel light and cheap. The Nuvi 660 is the equivalent of the Nuvi 360 which has a smaller screen.

I love my nuvi 660. It gets me everyplace I want to go, and it has not failed me yet. I also love that it shows the closest restaurants and gas stations when you are out of your local area. Love it.

Like : This GPS is my first GPS. I like it. The screen is big and easy to use. No problem till now. Dislike : I feel the voice indication is a little bit slow....

So far it's ok. I did have issue of it's mapping my home address and directions going to work. An example: I wanted to go to work and nuvi 660 wanted to totally go out of my way to go to work at a setting of FASTEST TIME. Maybe it's just my GPS CONFUSED!... MP3, Bluetooth and other feature very useful. I rate this a 5 of 10
