Subscribe and Save a Good Value Thursday, March 04, 2010Although I was initially skeptical about the value of Panasonic HydraClean charging base, after owning and using one for over a year now, I've been solidly sold.
Previously, I would tap out my razor after every shave, rinse it out about once a week with water, and then sterilize it before setting it out to dry. I can easily say that the HydraClean process saves me a lot of work each week! Although I still tap out my razer after each shave to extend the life of the cartridge, and empty and refill the water reservoir after each cleaning cycle to save on wear & tear, it's considerably easier to just drove my shaver in the HydraClean, press a button and walk away for a few hours than doing everything I used to do before.
Although the HydraClean packs are slightly expensive for the functionality they offer, I find that Amazon's discount, combined with the 15% off bonus offered for a subscription makes the value proposition much better.
As an aside, I use this with the Panasonic ES8249S Arc IV Nanotech Vortex Wet/Dry Rechargeable Shaver, Silver (which I have also found to be an excellent product).

Panasonic Vortex Hydraclean Cartridge Thursday, January 28, 2010This product worked to perfection. I've gone a couple of months without using it and found my shaver was lagging with a smooth cut. After using a new cleaning cartridge, the performance of my shaver dramaticly increased. I'm very pleased and will use it again.
Don't buy with ES8243 Monday, January 18, 2010WARNING!
The site indicates that other purchasers of the Panasonic Shaver have purchased this Vortex Cleaning Cartridge, implying that the two items work together. They do not. The cartridge is for another model shaver and cannot be used with the Panasonic ES8243. The ES8243 may be the best rechargeable shaver on the market, but this is an unneeded product.
