Key User Features
Efficiency is the name of Kick's game. Thoughtful engineering means that a tapped screw allows you to choose a pocket clip (sold separately) instead of a belt sheath. Kick has the same super-strong pliers as larger Leatherman tools, but its narrow shape and light weight keep you moving.
The Kick's interior features are supremely easy to access -- just swing open the handles and rotate the blades out using the convenient nail nicks. The scissors open the same way, with a swift rotation and a nail nick; and when the scissors are fully extended, they lock into place. All of the tools available in the Kick are made from 100-percent stainless steel, engineered to the optimum grade hardness for each individual tool. The Kick features a system of straight blades, which can be sharpened by using standard sharpening methods, for easy maintenance.
The Kick's thoughtful engineering means sharp, strong, long blades and twice the gripping power of the previous model. Expand your Kick's capabilities with genuine Leatherman accessories like this removable bit driver or pocket clip (both sold separately)
Multitool Capabilities: Needlenose pliers Regular pliers Wire cutters Hard-wire cutters Clip-point knife Large screwdriver Small screwdriver Phillips screwdriver Ruler (8 inch/19 cm) Bottle/can opener Wire stripper Lanyard attachment

| | | | Feel naked without this tool Wednesday, July 21, 2010I love this tool! I keep losing these and buy another to replace it. It's a terrific size and weight. The tool has most of the critical attachments: knife, screwdrivers, and pliars. If you like to travel light, this is definitely recommended. FYI, the leather sheath is a bit bulky, Leatherman 934860 Removable Pocket Clip for Kick get the pocket clip to keep it at the top of your pocket for easy reach. Very Necessary Sunday, July 18, 2010I'm a sailor so a multitool is an essential piece of equipment for me. The tools are great and this has everything I need: a small knife, needlenose pliers, and a bottle opener. So it is very useful and I need it quite often. However, since I work around saltwater pretty much constantly, I need a stainless steel tool. I figured out the hard way that this is not stainless. Also, I would much refer to have a clip than a lanyard ring to attach it to my person. One tool the rule them all (haha) Sunday, June 27, 2010I had a job t hat constantly required tools, but seemed like the employer never provided them. So I purchased this and I never had a task that I couldn't complete. Seemed when I wasn't using it, someone else was borrowing it. It has a good feel to it, not heavy but feels sturdy. Leatherman Kick multitool versus Victorinox Monday, May 17, 2010I have both the Kick and the Victorinox Multitool.
The quality, that means the quality of the steel of the Victorinox I experience is far better. The kick hasn't that best steel.
However the tools on my Kick are just exactly what I need and is folded together to stay away form dust. The Victorinox has tools that are not needed much, therefore is havier, also has many corners, is open and therfore sensitive for much dust.
For the ease of use I prefer the Kick Older version better Thursday, April 08, 2010My husband keeps his Leatherman on his belt and loves it but with the airline restrictions he now has a new one.
He says the older version of Leatherman had easier access to blades this one is hard to pull out tools because the little marks are smaller, functional holder, plastic grip looks good but not sure if an improvement. The knife blade stays sharp longer. | | | | |
